Tra Bong Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company was established in 2022, specializing in producing and trading medicinal plants, especially cinnamon. Previously, Vietnam had the renowned Saigon cinnamon brand, that was word-famous for its unique aroma, characteristic spicy flavor, and high essential oils that no other cinnamon product could compare to. Nowadays, Tra Bong cinnamon has fully all characteristics of the old Saigon cinnamon brand.Tra Bong cinnamon is a product of the Co ethnic minority, and it was honored as one of the eight Vietnamese specialties by Asia Book of Records in 2013. Intellectual Property Office of Viet Nam, Ministry of Science and Technology issued Certificate of Geographical Indications registration decides 4525/QD-SHTT on November 23, 2020. Modern medicine confirms that cinnamon is one of the four rare medicinal herbs for health (Ginseng, Antler, Cinnamon, Radix aconiti). Cinnamon significantly improves cognitive function (memory), treat colds and flu, arthritic, blood circulation. Additionally, cinnamon is widely used in cooking, cosmetics, and religious ritual.
